Terms of use

These terms are the agreement between you and the developer of Pickelx ("we") for using the app and its online services. By playing, you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use Pickelx. How we handle your data is in the privacy policy.
Pickelx is being tested. Features, balance and prices may change, and some things may not work as they should yet.
Who can play
You must be 13 or older. If you are not yet an adult where you live, a parent or guardian must agree to these terms for you.
Your account
- The app makes a guest account for you the first time it needs our server. A guest account lives on its phone: if the phone is lost or reset, its progress cannot be recovered. Adding an email, Google or Apple sign-in in Settings → Account keeps your progress and lets you sign in on another phone.
- Keep your password to yourself. You are responsible for what is done with your account.
- Your player name must not pretend to be someone else, or be offensive. We may reset a name that breaks this rule.
Coins, gems, tickets and items
- Coins, gems, tickets, battle pass rewards and items are part of the game. You get a personal, limited right to use them in Pickelx; you do not own them.
- They have no cash value. They cannot be exchanged for real money, sold, or moved to another account or another game.
- We may change how they are earned, priced or used, for example to keep the game balanced.
- They are lost if your account is deleted or banned, or if Pickelx's online services end.
Purchases and refunds
- This version of Pickelx has no purchases. If we add them, such as gem packs, they will be sold through the App Store and Google Play, and the store's own terms will apply to the payment.
- Refunds are handled by Apple or Google, under their refund policies; we cannot refund a store purchase ourselves. On an iPhone, ask Apple through "Report a Problem"; on Android, ask Google through your Google Play order history.
- If a store refunds a purchase, we take back the gems it gave you. If you have already spent them, your gem balance goes below zero: gems buy nothing until the gems you earn or buy bring it back above zero. Items you already bought stay yours.
- These terms do not take away any right the law of your country gives you as a consumer.
Fair play
You agree not to:
- cheat, use bots or automated play, or change the app, its data or its network traffic;
- exploit bugs for an advantage, or arrange the results of matches with other players;
- harass, threaten or abuse other players, or report them falsely;
- try to break into, overload or disrupt our servers, or to reach accounts that are not yours;
- sell, trade or share accounts, or buy coins, gems or items outside the app.
Our server checks every match result, and results that do not check out are not counted. Our moderators review reports and fair-play signals, and may reset a name, remove rewards gained unfairly, or suspend or ban an account. If you think a decision about your account is wrong, write to support@pickelx.com with your support code.
Our game
The app, its art, characters, sounds, code and everything it shows belong to us or to those who license them to us. You may not copy, sell or reverse-engineer it, except as the law allows.
Availability
The online services need an internet connection, and they may be paused for maintenance, changed or ended. Online play may not be offered in every country. If we end the online services for good, we will say so in the app first.
No guarantees
As far as the law allows, we provide Pickelx as it is and as available, without a promise that it will always work, be free of errors, or never lose progress. As far as the law allows, we are not liable for indirect losses or for lost virtual items, and our total liability to you is limited to what you paid for Pickelx in the 12 months before your claim. Nothing in these terms limits a liability that the law does not allow to be limited.
Ending
You can stop playing and delete your account at any time (how to delete your account). We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms. The sections on coins, gems, tickets and items, on our game, and on guarantees and liability still apply afterwards.
Downloads from the App Store
If you got Pickelx from Apple's App Store, Apple's standard licence agreement for apps also applies. These terms are between you and us, not Apple: Apple is not responsible for Pickelx or for supporting it.
Changes
We may update these terms. When we do, we change the date at the top, and for a change that matters, we say so in the app before it takes effect. If you keep playing after that, the new terms apply.
